Occasionally this makes some markers disappear (when you have a signal limit of 20, a following track limit of 30 may vanish, or even flicker). You may not cross a red, can only cross a red-green at 30mph and a red-lunar at 20mph. Unlike Donner Pass, signal speed does matter here. Jalsina mentioned unmarked speed changes, but I didn't notice any. It is mentioned in the manual that the cars have to load up individually, and after multiple braking / emergency, it may take 20 minutes (in reality) while brakes are otherwise released (using handbrakes only). There is a pattern to the problem as a scenario is either tragicomical or flawless, and I have a tendency to break with ES44AC + autoracks, but not always, and not only.īecause of the air reserve simulation, it is possible that after multiple PCS trips, your train doesn't really want to stop, even with seemingly alright pressures. The (old) 1st scenario, the Sherman Hill introduction was a real disaster. People don't seem to care, I have that problem a lot, too. PCS tripped means that your train broke into two. To achieve the slow changes, it has to put it to apply or release momentarily, otherwise keep it in the Hold position. The reason for HUD-flip-flopping is that in order to achieve the - supposedly - realistic handle behaviour, the script moves the internal (old) brake handle instead of you. It also takes lots of time for applying beyond 24% (15psi) and releasing. I assume it's sort of a protection system against too rapid applications or an accidental release. Upon releasing, first you have to move it to 17%, wait half a second, then release. Of course, "stage 1" should be enough most of the time, both because it's quite strong and also because of the air reserve simulation, applying brakes makes them weaker. Then about 61%, again half a second, and only then to 100%. In short, from 0% you can only move to 24% first, then have to wait half a second. Easier to understand if you look at the physical handle. The brakes have some advanced scripting here. That comment on "a beautiful day" is just the comment of the naive rookie besides you. The original storyline plays along the rapid weather changes. With scenarios being added daily, why don’t you check it out now!Ĭlick here for Steam Workshop scenarios.Welcome to the club of Sherman Hill players! :)

Most notable for its streamlined, low profile single carbody design, the P42 DC is unique among North American diesel-electric locomotives because of its low height, making it the only Amtrak diesel locomotive that meets clearance requirements on all Amtrak routes.
